Patient is scheduled

Your scheduling system sends the case to PreOpClear — name, date of birth, phone number, procedure, and surgery date.

Screening runs via SMS

PreOpClear texts the patient days before surgery, verifies their identity, then walks them through a clinically-reviewed intake in plain language. Patients reply on their own time.

Nurse reviews, not chases

When the patient finishes, clinicians see a structured summary with medication holds, fasting instructions, and flags for anything the anesthesiologist needs to know. Escalations happen automatically.

Every design decision starts with HIPAA. Patient data is encrypted end-to-end, never shared for marketing, and only accessible to authorized clinical staff at the patient's facility.

Our SMS program

PreOpClear, operated by Perioperative Solutions LLC, sends transactional pre-operative screening messages to patients who have been scheduled for surgery at a partnering facility and have opted in to receive SMS. Perioperative Solutions LLC is the registered A2P 10DLC brand for the PreOpClear messaging program.

SMS program details
  • Sender: PreOpClear, operated by Perioperative Solutions LLC.
  • Message types: pre-operative screening prompts, identity verification, medication instructions, and appointment reminders.
  • Frequency: typically 3–8 messages per patient across the 10 days preceding surgery. Messages only send during the patient's local business hours.
  • Opt-in: patients consent in person at the facility during surgical scheduling by signing a written consent form that identifies the sender as "PreOpClear, operated by Perioperative Solutions LLC." No web-, app-, or text-keyword opt-in is supported.
  • Opt-out: reply STOP at any time to any message to immediately unsubscribe. We process opt-outs within seconds and will not contact the patient again.
  • Help: reply HELP to any message for support, or email support@preopclear.net.
  • Carrier fees: message and data rates may apply.
  • No marketing: we never send promotional messages and never share patient phone numbers with third parties for marketing.
